Today, solar technology in the Philippines still revolves around 1000VDC, which is more or less 5 years old already.

However, due to increasing number of foreign investors in Solar projects in the country, this has resulted in a growing demand for the latest developments in Solar technology . With this we had received numerous request from System Integrators, local end users, and electrical contractors for 1500VDC technology.

1500 VDC systems will allows installers to reduce installation time, string size, wire costs etc.

Being a provider for solutions and products in the solar energy area for many years, Phoenix Contact has been keeping abreast on this demand.

The 1500VDC string combiner boxes from Phoenix Contact meet these requirements of collecting and distributing string currents, protecting the individual modules against damage from lightning and surge voltages, and monitoring the performance of the system.

The Automotive industry is one of the highest revenue-generating industries in the world. In 2016, about 95 million cars were manufactured. Thailand is the biggest country for the automotive industry in South East Asia and the 12th largest in the world as of 2015.

About 2 million vehicles are manufactured annually in Thailand.

Automotive manufacturers are adopting automation for a more cost-efficient way to make vehicles. By replacing human with robotic technology, the company would be able to save on wages and related costs such as insurance, medical leave, employee’s benefits as well as taxes. This shifts the labour intensive production to a data-driven production.

Push-pull Advance Connector

Phoenix Contact’s Push-Pull Advance data connector is 360 degree shielded and is able to transmit data up to 1 Gbit/s. Field assembly without special tool is possible with QUICKON connection technology. It also has production indicator for traceability.

Push-Pull Advance data connector is equipped with a locking system to increase the security of the connector. To lock/unlock, use a screw driver to shift the orange catch to the respective indication.

IIEE Annual National Convention and 3E XPO 2014

IIEE 3E XPO 2014 Exhibition is a specialized electrical, electronics and energy exposition show in Philippines where many electrical practitioners are attending with more than 300 booths and Phoenix Contact is proud to be part of the exhibition!

It will be a 4 day exhibition, located at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City from 26th Nov to 29th Nov 2014.

PI Seminar in Bangkok

The PI Association Southeast Asia conducted a Profibus / Profinet Seminar in Bangkok, Thailand on 4th September 2014. Coincidentally, during the same period, there was also another event held in Bangkok called the Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) from 2nd – 4th September 2014.

 

Coming up to this event, I was really a little worried whether the turn out for this event was going to be good due to the other event. Even though the online registrations were fully booked, sometimes, you never know!
