Efficient Setpoint Output via Compact Automation Terminals

From |

With its narrow design, the analog Inline terminal IB IL AO 2/UI-PAC from Phoenix Contact is a compact alternative for outputting current and voltage signals. This analog terminal is just 12 mm wide, has two channels, and offers precision and performance at an affordable price.

Two analog outputs operate in synchronism with the local bus with a resolution of 11 bits plus sign and a precision of 0.1% of the measuring range final value. A two-conductor system is used to connect the actuator. Standard signals of ±10 V, 0…10 V, 0…20 mA, 4…20 mA, and ±20 mA are supported. Loads up to 450 Ohm can be reliably operated from the current signal.

This analog output terminal is ideally complemented by the compact and affordable analog input terminals IB IL AI 4/I-PAC and IB IL AI 4/U-PAC. They allow standard signals 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 10 V, and ±10 V to be measured. Four differential inputs operate in synchronism with the local bus with a process data update time of 250 ?s for all four channels.

The compact Inline terminals are fast and reliable, reduce the amount of space in the control cabinet, and at the same time lower costs. This allows the terminals to be used in dynamic applications in the machinery construction sector and also in the water and infrastructure sectors.
