The demand for mobile Internet services is forever on the rise. Thanks to WLAN, it is possible to surf in the global network in nearly all buildings and major metropolitan areas. However, network coverage can be spotty outdoors, in public spaces, and especially in rural areas.
WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) and LTE (Long Term Evolution) technologies are now available for wireless communication in the frequency range from 2.4 to 5.9 GHz to specifically address such applications.
In order to secure data transfer even during thunderstorms, Coaxtrab CN-l/4-5.9 arresters, with a discharge capacity of 50 kA (8/20 µs), provide the required protection. The level of protection is high thanks to the l/4 technology. As a result of the standing wave ratio of 1:1, the useful signal is not diminished and disturbance-free operation of the transmitting and receiving equipment is ensured.
The signal cable is connected to the plug and socket through N connectors. An M3 screw on the housing is used for equipotential bonding. Special mounting plates are available for cabinet installation.
