Phoenix Contact’s Intrinsic Safety signal isolator called the MACX range links control and field level devices in hazardous locations to the safe area.
The single-channel or two-channel MACX safeguard and boost the quality of analog signals by ensuring accurate conversion, isolation, filtering, and amplification.
Of course Phoenix Contact’s Intrinsic Safety isolator offers many value added features but for now, I will only discuss 3 unique features of Phoenix Contact MACX.
- The widest range in the narrowest of housings
All single and two-channel 24 V devices in the MACX range feature a housing width of just 12.5 mm. It is now possible to save up to 45% space on the DIN rail compared to the design width of 16 to 22.5mm for single or two channels modules in the market.
- Power distribution and diagnostics has never been easier
Power distribution and diagnostics has been made easier with the use of TBUS. The TBUS allows you to use a standard din rail and simplifies wiring.
Simply snap the TBUS onto the DIN rail and this allows power distribution and collective error message from individual isolators.
TBUS simplifies wiring and gives you the option to extend the system or replace the module, even during operation effortlessly.
· Precise signal transmission with low power dissipation
Thanks to the innovative circuit design, the patented circuit concept ensures precise signal transmission with low power dissipation. This result in a longer service life for the product.

Phoenix contact may consider the complete solution with IS Board and Isolator instead of just the MACX. Coz most of the cases, it will be difficult for us to propose to customer P+F/ MTL board with your isolator…
Hi Nicole,
Thanks for your feedback! I am sure that is something that we can consider.
Our sales team will be in touch with you soon!
Have a great day ahead and happy lunar new year!
