PHOENIX CONTACT at the Middle East Electricity Exhibition
Middle East Electricity 2016 comes to Dubai in less than a week, with over 1,500 power suppliers and manufacturers from over 62 countries appearing with their latest products and developments on show. We will be there on Stand 6A10 –Hall 6 to present a wide range of first class products and new innovations in the field of electrical connection technology, electronic interface, automation systems as well as solutions for the energy, infrastructure, and process industries.

One of the new products coming to the market, that will be on show include our Safe Energy Control technology or SEC for short. SEC is the basis for durable and powerful lightning and surge protection. The core is the revolutionary spark gap which safely prevents any line follow current. This innovation protects your system, including fuses and arresters. Therefore, a separate arrester backup fuse is therefore no longer needed in all common applications.
Another product innovation is the DC UPS solution which ensures maximum availability of your plants and systems. The various storage media feature a wide range of different properties: long service life or very long buffer time, no maintenance, and use at extreme ambient temperatures.
But that is not all! Make sure you visit our stand in Hall 6 to see the full range of innovations on show this year.
Our new PSRmini safety relays are rather the narrowest safety relays in the world with the performance of a large safety relay. Phoenix Contact developed the relay technology in the centerpiece of the new PSRmini device. The compact 6 mm wide elementary relay design offers tried-and-tested safety, because of the force-guided contacts. Hence, the numerous technological details make it reliable as safety technology should be. It is its robustness, reliability, and diagnostic capability that sets it apart from a standard elementary relay.
The new DC/DC converters of the QUINT POWER product range are particularly suitable for applications in the energy sector. Independent supply systems can be established and monitored in a preventative manner due to the electrical isolation between the input and output voltage. All DC/DC converters, power supplies, and redundancy modules of the QUINT POWER product range support power boost, which continually supplies 1.25-fold nominal current.
