As featured in a recent blog, variants from Phoenix Contact offer customers a chance to customise device connectors to complement the overall design of a product. Electronics Housings from Phoenix Contact offer similar possibilities to colour, print, mill and drill our standard enclosures ready to assemble the electronics.
Here is a quick guide to selecting and customising our electronics housings for your design.
Step 1:
Choose the right enclosure for your electronics. At Phoenix Contact we offer a wide range of standard electronics housing to suit. Each housing series comes with a range of standard options including: varying widths and heights, integrated bus systems, device connectivity etc. CAD data is available to assist the design process.

Step 2:
Decide on the connectivity. We offer an extensive range of connector solutions specifically designed for our electronics housings with screw or spring cage connection technologies.
Step 3:
Order a sample set to evaluate the preferred solution. Sample sets contain all the basic components needed to make up a complete housing solution.
Step 4:
Consider what customisations are required. For this step we are here to help guide you through the design process. Colour choice is the most common option selected, but we can do so much more. Typically a customer will order a standard enclosure and send it to a subcontractor to be milled, drilled and printed ready for the electronics. This takes considerable time and incurs significant additional production costs. At Phoenix Contact we are set up to offer this service to all our customers and for surprisingly low minimum order quantities.
Step 5:
Once the customisation is decided upon, we will ask you to sign the drawings and then we do the rest. Sit back and relax while we produce the finished article ready for your electronics.
