The Phoenix Contact Heavycon range of modules continues to increase in number and technical diversity.
Its another first for Phoenix Contact, offering a single module capable of accommodating 6mm conductors. As you can see in the images to the right, the new modules are available in 2, 3 and 4 way options.

The modules are very compact, but are still capable of 40A, 830V. There are a vast number of Heavycon Housings that you can seat these modules in, but I’d like to draw your attention to our M1 Evo housing. It was specifically designed for the purpose of housing a single module of the customer’s choice. Be it a power, signal or data module, our module offering is pretty extensive, with dozens being added each year.
I mention the M1 as the footprint is very small (50mm x 30.4mm). So, combining any of the above modules with the M1 housing gives 4x40A in a very tough, compact housing at a very competitive price level.
It’s obvious from the image that the M1 housing is plastic as opposed to aluminium. But please don’t assume that this is a lesser solution. The M1 is made of a tough fibre glass re-inforced plastic that achieves IP66 and has an operating range of -40 to +125 deg C (as are all of the plastic ‘EVO’ housings.)
If required, you can also select our ½ module size PE module that sits next to the power module in the M1 housing. (You can see the space in the image above that accommodates this PE module).
Visit our website where you can see the whole of the Heavycon module range. You will also find the 3D configurator that will enable you to compile a whole Heavycon heavy duty connector solution, complete with the modules of your choice and have it emailed to you, including your bill of materials, 3D images and CAD models. It takes less than 5 minutes.
