Wow, can it really be that we’ve almost reached the end of 2016 already? I hope that you have enjoyed the team’s blog posts this year, but if there are any that you have missed, I have put together a few highlights for you to look back on. So grab a cup of tea and ease yourself into the festive season…
Beware of cyber attacks
Gareth is the newest member of our blogging team. He is our cyber security specialist, and blogs about the growing awareness of industrial network security. This blog from March really shows that industrial security should be at the top of your list. If you want to know more, join us at one of our Safe & Secure workshops next year where Gareth demonstrates just how easy it can be for hackers to gain access to your networks.
Save time and money
Andy Neat’s unique blogging style always proves popular. He has written quite a few blogs this year covering his product portfolio. The blogs that stand out for me are his Crimpfox Centrus and RFID Markers posts, demonstrating how our innovative products can save time and costs anywhere in the industrial world.
Raspberry Pi gets a new home
Our Raspberry Pi enclosure – RPI-BC- was launched at Hannover Messe earlier this year and has been extremely popular. Duncan’s blog that initially introduced the new enclosure in April is easily the most read blog of 2016. Recently, Duncan visited a local school’s robotics club and donated some of the new enclosures for use in future projects. We hope that we see some of their creations soon!
Hidden Gems
Fraser’s blog about some of the hidden gems in his product portfolio shows that among the many more popular products that Phoenix Contact offers, there are products that could be the answer to the problem you have been deliberating for some time.
Everything from one supplier!
Scott’s blog explains how the features and benefits of our Clipline Complete range of terminal blocks and accessories saves you time and money throughout the machine design and build process. As he says: One set of accessories= Less hassle = Less cost. And who wouldn’t want that?
Innovative new products
We also featured some of our brand new products in our blogs this year. Andy Maskell introduced the new Ethernet Extender system in a blog from September, explaining that it truly is as easy as “plug and play”.
Solutions for Industry
Renewable energy is becoming much more important not just in this country, but across the world. Nigel is our industry manager and blogs about Phoenix Contact’s customised solutions for industries such as solar and wind. Dave Hall is also part of Nigel’s team and you will hear more from him in 2017, but his first blog this year discussed wireless solutions for hazardous areas.
On to the new year…
