Did you come and see us at Drives & Controls? If so, brilliant, this is for you. If not, brilliant, this is for you too!

As we find all too often, not everybody is aware of how vast the Phoenix Contact range of products is. This was a great opportunity for everyone involved in all aspects of engineering to see what we can do and discuss applications and possible solutions. It was a great success and a huge thank you to anyone that had any kind of engagement with the show, you could not beat the buzz of the open days a t the NEC.

During the 3 days of the exhibition I was asked questions on various trend topics and these came up time and time again so I thought I would share some of these with you, because chances are if one of you asking, more of you will be wondering too.

Q1. Do you have a long distance wireless I/O system like a cable replacement?

A1. Yes we do. Radioline is a licence free modular wireless I/O system. It can also be used for wireless serial communications including Profibus. Click here for more information.

Q2. Do you have an option for configurable safety. I want to reduce the amount of safety relays we use and the wiring time and how much is the software?

A2. Yes. The TRISAFE safety controller saves time and money and provides a scale-able solution so you can expand as required up to 144 I/O points. The software is free to download from our website. trisafe_image

Q3. Do you do a simple speed monitoring relay that does not need software

A3. Yes. We have the PSR-MM25 Zero speed monitoring relay. It uses the back EMF generated by freewheeling motors and can be used on 1PH/3PH – AC/DC systems. It is configured via a push button on the front of the device and is in a 17.5mm wide housing. Discover more here
