Product design is all about form and function, both of which are well understood at Phoenix Contact as innovators of smart device connection technology. The connector is an integral part of any device and, if carefully selected, can enhance and improve the functionality and usability of the device.
Our standard product portfolio covers thousands of parts from big green terminal blocks to surface mount headers and electronics housing. What is not always understood is that many of these standard parts can be customised to suit individual applications at surprisingly low MOQs and with no tooling charges.
There are many practical benefits to specifying variants including: increased brand recognition, colour coded and/or marked terminals to aid wiring, and pre-prepared milled and drilled electronics housing to reduce customer’s own tooling and final assembly costs.
Over the years Phoenix Contact has invested in fully automated production technology to facilitate the creation of variants at extremely low MOQs. This means that we can produce customised product to our customer’s specifications in surprisingly short lead times. Once a variant has been produced for the first time, it is then available to order in box quantities thereafter.
