DEV-KITS are electronics housing kits that include all the parts needed to assemble an enclosure ready for your electronics. They include the enclosure body and connectors along with made to measure prototyping PCBs and BUS connectors that can be ordered separately. DEV-KITS are ideal for rapid prototyping, proof of concept and one off projects.

At some point during the design process the enclosure comes into consideration. Typically there are two choices: design and engineer a new enclosure at considerable cost and with a high MOQ, or use an off the shelf solution. The second option is often overlooked but is quick to realise and avoids the high engineering costs associated with custom enclosures. Electronics Housings from Phoenix Contact can offer the best of both worlds.

Our added value service offers a range of professional custom solutions based on our extensive range of standard enclosures. Customisation can be achieved with the following options:

• Colour variant – make your product stand out with a colour to match your branding.
• Milling & drilling – send us a drawing and we mill and drill the enclosure to your requirements.
• Printing – we will print whatever you require on the enclosure and connectors.
• Light tunnels – a simple way to add a light matrix to your product facia.

When it comes to the electronics, a made to measure prototyping PCB is available for the DEV-KITS which are tracked for the connectors and provide ample space for your electronics. We can also provide you with a CAD model of the PCB shape to speed up PCB design

Some of our DIN rail enclosures include the option for a BUS connector. This frees up connections on the front of the device and facilitates device hot swapping where needed. BUS connectors can be order separately for the ME-MAX, ME-IO and BC housing DEV-KITS.

DEV-KITS are available for the BC, EH, ME-IO, ME-MAX, ME-PLC and UM-BASIC product ranges.
