I was going to have a really snappy heading to lure you in, yet when I thought about it I realised that those three simple words actually express more than enough to hopefully make you want to read more. If I’m being perfectly honest, I wouldn’t immediately be drawn to housings as the most exciting and dynamic of products to decide to write a blog about, however my opinion has been recently radically changed.
Why is that you ask? Play along- you know how it works with my blogs by now!
For starters, if you look at our range of housings from the basic versions for universal uses, the modular versions for industrial electronics, the building installation style according to DIN EN 43880 and the multifunctional ones for complex electronics you suddenly realise that we have a vast range of standard products available for you.
It doesn’t end there as we have a number of industry standard widths and heights available, as well as the option of integral bus connection systems within the housings. You can choose from connection technologies including PCB mounted traditional screw and push-in spring cage terminal blocks or use a PCB mounted header, available in wave and THR styles, with the relevant mating half.
So that, in itself, is a very versatile portfolio of product options designed to offer you readily available solutions for your electronics housing needs. To misquote a famous cartoon character “that’s (not) all folks”.
This is the point when I take you back to the title of my blog and one key word “customisable”. If it wasn’t enough that we offer all of these housing solutions, we also allow you to modify, if you will, the standard options. As an example: if you’d like your housing to match your company colours, say yellow, we can do this for you. If you’d like the terminal blocks to match the housing colour or if you like to mix it up a bit and have them in blue we offer that service as well.
In case you are thinking this will mean huge minimum order quantities, it doesn’t. We generally ask for a commitment of only 250 housings initially and then make it a standard item.
It doesn’t end there either, we are more than happy to discuss any drilling and milling requirements you may have and whilst I’m on a roll, we can even mark the housing and the terminals for you using pad, screen and even laser printing methods depending upon your specific needs.
I hope now that you have reached the end of my blog you will be as enthused and excited by the electronic housing products as I find myself being, which for me is a radical change!
