There are over 30 million Hart Instruments currently installed within the process industry, but only 10% of these are being used to their full potential.
Phoenix Contact has now developed the Wireless Hart Thumb and Gateway which enables the user to extract the Hart information from these intelligent instruments quickly and cheaply. Whether it be a temporary installation, conversion of existing instruments or a new installation, the Wireless Hart Thumb and Gateway from Phoenix Contact gives you the versatility to ensure your Network is giving you the information you need to run your process efficiently.
Installation flexibility ensures that where ever you need to install the Thumb, EX Zone 2 approved, it will work. It can be either Loop or Line powered and even multidrop 4 instruments when powered directly itself.
Phoenix Contact Wireless Hart Gateway is a DIN Rail Mountable device that can utilise existing Control Cabinets to be mounted in, saving the additional costs of buying a complete housing and the cabling it incurs when installing. 250 Hart Field Instruments can be connected at one time to any Gateway, and with the different network setups available there are no limits. The Gateway also enables the Hart data to be converted into Modbus TCP to be used in most Control Systems safely and quickly without any extra complex programming.
