Following on from my blog in August, here are some more innovations from Phoenix Contact that will save you time, space, wiring effort or all three!

Take a look at the following products and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.

Mini analogue multiplexers V8 adapter

Mini analog multiplexerThe MINI Analog Multiplexer can be used to generate one analogue output from up to eight input signals. During cyclical execution, 8, 6, 4 or 2 parallel analogue signals can be transmitted in series, i.e, one after the other, via a cable.

A 1 or 2-second cycle can be selected via DIP switches. The desired number of channels is also selected via DIP switches.

Features:

  • Minimal space requirements
  • Fast installation
  • Modular design
  • Can be set via DIP switches
  • Reduction in analogue inputs at controllers
  • Wear-free optocoupler outputs

V8 adapters with communication (Signal conditioners with bus and network connectivity)

Communication adapterCustomers today have several problems when they need to connect up a variety of signals from the field – these signals may be analogue, digital, temperature, frequency, potentiometer or limit values.

To connect the signals they will need several different signal specific cards, which take up a lot of space, take time to be wired and can mean high costs per channel if every input is not utilised.

All of these problems are solved by the new MINI Analog Pro V8 Communication Adapter used in conjunction with MINI Analog Pro signal conditioner range.

MINI Analog Pro V8 Communication AdapterHere are just a few of the advantages:

  • Space-saving integration of freely combinable signal conditioners into industrial networks
  • Interference-free signal transmission from the field level to the CPU
  • Signal-specific input cards are no longer needed
  • Quick parameterization without software
  • Easy configuration and monitoring via mobile devices or via a pc
  • Status LEDs for an instant overview on site
  • Quick and error free network connectivity
  • Measure current signals during operation without having to disconnect the signal circuit

The first units available on the market will be the Modbus/TCP, Profibus/DP and Modbus/RTU options, but the range of communication networks will be expanded to include Profinet and EthernetIP.

Multi-functional process displays – for analogue and temperature signals

Multi-functional process displays The FA MCR process display enables you to monitor and display analogue and temperature signals, as well as to control them using digital and analogue outputs.

Advantages of these displays are as follows:

  • Easy configuration via the front keypad or you can use FDT/DTM software
  • Easy installation with standardised housing dimensions and plug-in terminal blocks
  • Flexibility of versions for panel or field (IP67) mounting
  • Multi-functional process displays Simultaneous display of process values via a bar graph and measuring point designation
  • Identification in the event of error states, when the display will change colour to suit.
