How do you save money when it comes to industrial electrical installations? You may think cheaper materials is the best way, but then you may compromise on quality. One way could be working harder and faster to reduce time, but again quality could decrease and mistakes could be made.

Here at Phoenix Contact, we have some state of the art automatic tooling devices that will save you time, save you repetitive strain, retain a high quality and most importantly save you money! Let me introduce you to them:
This is the king of our semi-automatic tooling range, mainly due to its popularity and return on investment. This machine will STRIP and CRIMP your cable with a ferrule in 2 seconds! Not only that, it will crimp up to 1000 cables per hour! The CF 3000 is compatible with sizes 0.75mm, 0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm and 2.5mm. Of course, the ferrules are taped and come boxes of 1000 supplied by Phoenix Contact, which are priced sensibly.
This is a great accompaniment to the CF 3000 or indeed just on it’s own. Gone are the days where you try to run a 2m piece of cable against a steel rule on your work bench….Simply input the desired cable length and quantity on the touch pad on the top of the device and away you go. The CUTFOX 10 will pull your cable from your cable reel and automatically adjust up to 10mm cable diameter. You’ll have a pile of pre cut cable in no time and what’s more, you can go away and do other jobs in the meantime as it doesn’t need operating.
This is quite simply a semi-automatic stripping machine….Instant stripping of cable up to 6mm, in fact. All you have to do is insert the cable by hand and it will be stripped in a fraction of a second. With the three adjustment knobs at the front the machine, you set the length of the stripped material, cross section and how far the material is removed from the conductor giving you a partial strip. It collects all your wastage.
Like the above CF 3000 this is also a semi-automatic crimping machine, but the difference is it takes loose ferrules in the hopper at the top of the machine. Using compressed air this machine will crimp ferrule of 0.25mm up to 4mm. Again taking only 2 seconds to crimp each ferrule you can easily get through 1000 ferrules per hour. This machine is tested to pull-out forces in accordance with IEC/EN 60999 and IEC/EN 60947.
Last, but most certainly not least, the CF 500 is another semi-automatic crimping machine but with a much larger range available allowing you to crimp up to 20 different crimp types by simply changing the dies. From ferrules to ring lugs, spade connector, uninsulated and even cutting the teeth out of a bridge, there is die to suit. The CF 500 is operated by foot-pedal and takes all the strain out of crimping large quantities of crimps like the big old ring lugs which take a bit of doing!….we’ve all been there.
