Firstly I would like to say “Hi!” and formally introduce myself. My name is Brian Booth and I joined the Device Connections team in May, looking after all our PCB, Circular and Housing products, in fact anything in catalogues 1 and 2 and some selected ones from 4! I cover the whole of the North UK from Scotland down to Coventry and most points East and West. I have already met with many of you and I am looking forward to meeting with as many more of you as I can in the future, so welcome to my first Blog!

As I said, Housing crisis in the UK?…..Nope! I would like to focus a little on one of the gems of the Phoenix Contact portfolio and that is the Housings range…..No crisis?Because we have, worldwide, the most extensive range of rail mountable housings than any other supplier, we have more than 2000 products available.

We also have handhelds, profiles and of course our modular styles. It is the three most popular of these modular systems that I will blog about today!

ME and ME MAX modular electronics housings

Innovative electronics needs innovative housings. With our ranges of ME and ME Max housings we can reduce wiring costs using the integrated Bus system on the ME for both serial and parallel and the T Bus system on the ME MAX.

We can distribute serial and parallel signals in the DIN rail as well as supplying currents of up to 42 Amps in the connection area.

One housing, countless connection options. This is the principal behind the compact ME I/O housing system, with push in front connection.

The modular terminal area can be designed flexibly; with codable signal and data connectors, LEDs and customer specific labels.

With the innovative Lock and Release system, it is easy to release individual connectors from the housing assembly.

The optional Din Rail Bus connector is also compatible with the above mentioned ME and ME Max systems to provide optimal flexibility in system design.
