IP EXPO is the biggest IT exhibit in the UK and 3rd largest in Europe. It boasts a gathering of the world’s finest names in cyber security, software and future technology developments. Phoenix Contact is a name well known within the industrial arena. It is stepping forward into the world of IT to promote awareness within the Corporate IT sector, to the risks and nature of Industrial Cyber Security.
The event will take place on the 4th and 5th of October. I will be hosting a live demonstration on how easy it is to get into an unprotected industrial control systems. This will highlight the need for IT departments to get involved with engineering departments and to work together, to get the best solution for securing their assets.
IT departments are getting more involved with network connectivity on machines, and on the shop floor. Therefore we see the frustration of engineers trying to achieve the goals of remote connectivity & maintenance, station reporting and remote Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), only for IT departments to deny access to the outside world.
Phoenix Contact can provide solutions to the IT industry with our remote connectivity offerings.
Our mGuard Family can provide remote access to assets and machinery with a full state firewall and network security.
We can also provide remote access with our new Cloud Client offering. This provides a simple and clean setup to get you connected to your machine with just 6 clicks of a mouse.
From another sector of our business, we will also be showcasing and demonstrating our Thermofox handheld printer, demonstrating the best technical marking equipment for the industrial sector.
IP EXPO is a fantastic day with a load of informative talks and demonstrations regarding the topic of your choice within IT (Oh! Don’t forget the awesome freebies). I hope I will see you there on Stand at DD9!
