By reading this blog we may just convince you that this is not the case, and you will probably never be able to view terminals in the same way again… On a more serious note though, in today’s blog I will be taking a brief look at the status of Push-in technology<\/a> and a more in depth discussion on the new, ready-to-connect PTFIX distribution block.<\/a><\/p>\n

Push-in technology was designed by Phoenix Contact. It’s the result of developing and designing a unique solution in order to meet a customer\u2019s specific requirements in Japan. Once push-in connections were introduced to the market, the interest shown was remarkable. The growth of the push-in terminal product range<\/a> has been exponential and unprecedented. Originally Push-in technology was derived for terminals only but it wasn\u2019t long before it was requested as a preferred connection method in some of our other product groups. Today the push-in option is available for Phoenix Contact relays<\/a>, power supplies<\/a>, surge protection devices<\/a>, signal conditioners<\/a> and I\/O modules<\/a> to name a few. Even small conductors from 0.34 mm2<\/sup> can be connected reliably without using tools. Simply use the push button for disconnection purposes and to connect stranded conductors without ferrules.<\/p>\n
