The World\u2019s Premier Industrial Fair<\/em><\/h1>\n

\"IMG_1360\"<\/a>My visit to Hannover Messe 2016 was by far the best trade fair I attended!\u00a0 Given that I had only 2 days at the fair, my time was spent focusing on our very own Phoenix Contact\u2019s booth.\u00a0 This year under the slogan \u201cSolutions for the Future\u201d, Phoenix Contact presented state-of-the art technology and innovative products and solutions for different industries.<\/p>\n

CCSPlus Charging System<\/h2>\n

One of the main crowd puller at Phoenix Contact\u2019s booth this year was the CCSplus fast charging system for electric vehicles.\u00a0 The CCS charging system is capable of charging up to 350,000 watts in about 15 minutes with enough energy to travel a distance of 600 kilometers.<\/p>\n

Intelligent Photovoltaic Panel Shutdown<\/p>\n

SOLARCHECK RSD shared the star limelight at the booth along with the CCSplus fast charging system. Typically, photovoltaic rooftop system generates DC voltages of up to 1000\u00a0V and cannot be disconnected easily if any fault occurs. \u00a0SOLARCHECK RSD automatically switches the system to a safe state protecting repair and maintenance personnel from life-threatening electric shocks during installation and maintenance.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_1361\"<\/a> \"IMG_1362\"<\/a>Mr. Ferdinand B. Caluza, President & CEO of Controlgear Electric Corporation (CEC) shared with us how he benefited from the visit.\u00a0 \u201cPrior to visit to Hannover, CEC was only using Phoenix Contact\u2019s terminal blocks, PVC wire ducts, wiring labels and accessories.\u00a0 After 2 days at Hannover Fair, I will be exploring more into the products and solutions offered by Phoenix Contact.\u00a0 Just to name a few; power meters, current transformers, string combiner box and PV connectors\/fuses, surge and lightning protection and the intelligent photovoltaic shutdown systems.\u00a0 I am particularly interested in the current transformer for retrofitting and will definitely discuss this further with Phoenix Contact\u2019s team upon my return to Philippines\u201d.<\/p>\n
