<\/p>\nPhoenix Contact is launching the new VL BPC 1000 industrial PC product line of embedded box PCs for especially harsh industrial environments.<\/p>\n
These devices are suited for simple control and communication tasks and for data collection in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, building automation, traffic engineering, and energy data transmission applications.<\/p>\n
The IPCs are designed to meet high temperature, vibration, shock, and EMC requirements and thus ensure maintenance-free 24\/7 operation.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The compact box PC operates in a temperature range from 0\u00b0C to +50\u00b0C, with an input voltage of 24 VDC (+\/-20%). Designed for embedded operating systems such as Windows Embedded Standard 2009 and Windows Embedded Standard 7, the box PC also utilizes reliable standards that facilitate easy commissioning.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its thermal design power (TDP) of 6.5\u00a0W, the PC is especially energy efficient. Its compact 155 x 145 x 49 mm design also allows it to be directly snapped onto DIN rails, thus facilitating combination with other components to create a customer-oriented system solution.<\/p>\n
The IPC operates without a fan and uses the high-performance Intel\u00ae Atom\u2122 N455 processor (1.6 GHz) from the Intel Embedded Roadmap (Intel components with long-term availability).<\/p>\n
It also features an integrated graphics processor and a variety of interfaces, including four USB 2.0, VGA, and three COM (RS232 \/ 422 \/ 485) ports to permit a wide range of applications.
