Web Panels for Extreme Conditions

From |

Phoenix Contact has added several new outdoor web panels to its HMI product range. The panels feature front surfaces protected against dust and splash water (protection class IP 67) and an anti-glare display that can be read in full sunlight.

Suitable for a temperature range of -20 °C to 70 °C, they can be used even in the most challenging of environments. Intended areas of use include solar power generation, electric vehicles, and agriculture.

Web Panels for Extreme Conditions

The WP 06T/XC web panel has a 5.7” display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels; the WP 07T/XC has a 7.0” display and a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Thanks to their optical bonding design, the displays are very sturdy, and their anti-glare properties make them readable even in bright sunlight conditions.

The devices also feature a highly reliable and rugged glass-film-glass (GFG) touch display. Users can interact with this using fingers, gloves, pens, or tools without causing any damage. Built-in UV and IR filters ensure a long product lifespan even under extreme conditions.

Operation is highly energy-efficient thanks to the built-in ARM9 processor and switchable LED backlighting. The web panels are equipped with one Ethernet and two USB interfaces and ship with Windows CE 5.0 as their operating system.

This ensures software compatibility with all standard Phoenix Contact web panels.
