I believe it is the same as the change that  packaging industry is currently experiencing. The automobile industry and the associated infrastructure needs to make changes for our future on this planet, so we don\u2019t pollute the seas and the air we breathe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So why am I talking about the planet ?&nbsp; My last blog was dedicated to renewables- <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/the-sun-is-shining\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"solar (opens in a new tab)\">solar<\/a>&#8211;  this one is <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" label=\"e-mobility (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixcontact.com\/online\/portal\/gb?1dmy&amp;urile=wcm%3apath%3a\/gben\/web\/main\/solutions\/subcategory_pages\/E_Mobility\/07f38fe8-e1d6-4612-8fd2-777df5227c16?cpn=blog\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">e-mobility<\/a>.  We have been involved in this industry for approximately 10 years and some would say that Phoenix Contact is all about connectors-  yes, that\u2019s where we started in the infrastructure of EV charging but we have now developed a full product range and we are, as I see it, the technology behind the charge point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have joined the new world of hybrid cars recently and plugged\ninto the charge point at one of my favourite pubs (at the weekend) and was\npleased to find I had plugged into a Phoenix Contact socket !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phoenix Contact continues to develop the range, and during 2020 we will launch new sockets, connectors and controllers which will help support the infrastructure you will need to power your hybrid or full EV in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dam-mdc.phoenixcontact.com\/rendition\/156443151564\/6a5262a2076aba238c92e39a237a2959\/-C100%25x75.45226131%25%2C-595.19519662%25%2C12.96482412%25-S440x10000\" alt=\"\" width=\"273\" height=\"172\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>One aspect of this industry which is particularly exciting for me is the different ideas that our customers develop to solve the requirements we will all have in the coming years such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>not having a driveway \u2013 leads to the need for on-street charging<\/li><li>taxis need to charge during the day \u2013 leads to inductive charging for taxi rank parking<\/li><li>the need to travel the length of the country \u2013 leads to<strong> <\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" label=\"high power charging  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixcontact.com\/online\/portal\/gb?1dmy&amp;urile=wcm%3apath%3a\/gben\/web\/main\/products\/technology_pages\/subcategory_pages\/high_power_charging\/b1c8a245-f088-4fad-b144-cea31e7f9a82?cpn=blog\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"broken_link\">high power charging.<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dam-mdc.phoenixcontact.com\/rendition\/156443151564\/80f069cc9a5df8d93166d8e1a823b7f0\/-C94.55311782%25x82.61306533%25%2C0.08379819%25%2C11.08040201%25-S676x10000\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Phoenix Contact has products and solutions to help \u2013 please get in touch for further information.
