Today I\u2019m going to talk about \u2018top tips\u2019, which is very topical in the Neat household at the moment as I have a 5 week old baby. So all hints and tips for a full night\u2019s sleep are gladly welcome at the moment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you use Phoenix Contact <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"marking systems (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixcontact.com\/online\/portal\/gb?1dmy&amp;urile=wcm%3apath%3a\/gben\/web\/main\/products\/subcategory_pages\/Printing_systems_P-12-01\/effbffe8-c4af-4aeb-bf47-20b1d6c57725?cpn=blog\" target=\"_blank\">marking systems<\/a> or are looking at using them in the future then with out further a do, please read on where I\u2019m going to jump straight in and give you my low down on top tips for using Phoenix Contact marking systems:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1-  \u2018Ctril &amp; N\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard01-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58148\" width=\"283\" height=\"152\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A quick way to hand type consecutive numbers on the Project Complete software is to simply type the first number, then hold \u2018Ctrl\u2019 and press \u2018N\u2019 \u2026&#8230;and away you go! To do this you can create a template which you can lock and protect from users changing any information but leave open text boxes that can be altered. What\u2019s more, if all the information you require is on a spreadsheet then you can import all this into designated cells on the label template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3-  Marking App<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard01-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58150\" width=\"180\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard01-3.jpg 306w, https:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard01-3-171x300.jpg 171w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes Phoenix Contact have an App for marking! It\u2019s very good too. You can download this on Andriod and Apple, although you can do more with the Android App. On the Apple App you can use it to search for marking material based on application, environment and specification which will then link you to our website. You can also use the camera on your smartphone to scan\u00a0 barcodes of Phoenix Contact products, of which the App will then give you the correct marking materials. On Android you can do all that but then you can also actually design your marking project on the app directly and then Bluetooth to the printers&#8230;pretty cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4-  IEC colour coding.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58151\" width=\"226\" height=\"261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard02.jpg 416w, https:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard02-260x300.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>*This tip is only applicable if you have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixcontact.com\/online\/portal\/gb?1dmy&amp;urile=wcm%3apath%3a\/gben\/web\/main\/products\/subcategory_pages\/UV_LED_printing_system_P-12-01-01\/8c7cd7d9-2b94-4505-93c3-88ba338be6f4?cpn=blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Bluemark ID COLOR (opens in a new tab)\">Bluemark ID COLOR<\/a> printer*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you use the individual cable numbering system where you have one colour for one digit, then you know it\u2019s time consuming. Not with Phoenix Contact though! If you have to use the IEC colour coding and want to save a lot of time\u00a0 then you can use Phoenix Contact\u2019s \u2018IEC\u2019 button on the Project Complete software. This will automatically colour code all your markers ready to print in glorious colour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5-  Eplan Integration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"319\" height=\"72\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard01-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58152\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard01-4.jpg 319w, https:\/\/blog.phoenixcontact.com\/marketing-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/11\/Clipboard01-4-300x68.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 319px) 100vw, 319px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you use Eplan, then you may as well use a Phoenix Contact marking system\u2026.and visa versa! We have a great relationship with Eplan and you have both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phoenixcontact.com\/online\/portal\/gb?1dmy&amp;urile=wcm%3apath%3a\/gben\/web\/main\/products\/subcategory_pages\/Marking_software_P-19-06\/88f82412-623f-43e4-a9d8-a8eb872dc454?cpn=blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" label=\"Project Complete (opens in a new tab)\" class=\"broken_link\">Project Complete<\/a> and Eplan&#8217;s software present on the same PC then they can be completely integrated\u00a0together. All you have to do is press the \u2018export to marking\u2019 button and then, as if by magic, all your markers are made and ready to be printed as quick as me saying it!
