Getting started!<\/p>\n

I have just completed my first two weeks with Phoenix Contact UK and my goodness there\u2019s a lot to learn. With 60,000 plus products spread over six catalogues just trying to imagine presenting our offering to customers is overwhelming to say the least. To be honest I was slightly concerned about how a company could manage such a vast product portfolio. I have quickly learnt that the business is structured in such a way that each group of products has a dedicated team managing their lines and experts offering support. Getting to know the product managers is going to be a high priority!<\/p>\n

I have an engineering background which started with an apprenticeship from British Sugar followed by a mechanical engineering degree. I began my sales career with Schneider Electric selling BMS and energy solutions in the Midlands. I have since worked for a couple of companies focusing mainly on the water industry and larger industrial end users. My role at Phoenix Contact is Industry Manager \u2013 Infrastructure, which covers quite a broad spectrum. I will be focusing on water and waste water<\/a>, transportation<\/a>, smart buildings<\/a> and smart cities.<\/p>\n

I will be spending the next few weeks introducing myself to partners and end users and building a plan to increase the Phoenix Contact presence in the above areas. Now I\u2019m excited to get going and hopefully I will be seeing some of you soon and would appreciate your patience and advice while I am still learning.<\/p>\n
