The cable glands are included, saving space and reducing length. These are suitable for cables from 4 to 17mm.<\/li>\n<li>The self-closing cover of the housing protects against contamination even when it&#8217;s unmated.<\/li>\n<li>IP66\/67 and NEMA 4\/4X\/12<\/li>\n<li>-40 deg C to +125 deg C.<\/li>\n<li>A wide range of inserts can be used for application up to 12 pins, up to 40 Amp, up to 830V<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Why have plastic latches, even on the metal housings?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The plastic latches are made of material that has been proven in the industry, in numerous heavy-duty applications, over the last 30 years. The form of the latches is optimised \u00a0for maximum stability and elasticity.<\/p>\n<p>Our plastic latches are non-corrosive and oil resistant and stability performance at least equal to the metal ones. Latching forces engineered to be easy to actuate but with a very high retention force, giving you the confidence that that your power transmission through the crimp or axial screw contacts, is protected and firmly in place.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Why no powder coating?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We use a high grade, corrosive resistant Aluminium alloy for the D7 metal housings. This negates the need for a powder coating, which could become scratched or worn over time, possibly compromising the integrity of a normal metal housing.\u00a0 Surface protection on our D7 housings
