I was looking through my product range looking for a \u2018hidden gem\u2019 to write about and found myself looking down an obvious route. I look after Marking Systems<\/a>, cabinet add-on products<\/a> (such as din rail, trunking and accessories) and then there is what I\u2019ve always said to be the \u2018coolest\u2019 part of my job. I look after the tool range<\/a> for Phoenix Contact UK Ltd. When I visit customers or exhibit at trade shows, nothing seems to pull in more interest with engineers than tools. So I thought I\u2019d blog about a particular service we offer from our toolfox range.<\/p>\n

Some things in life are inevitable. Like England slipping up against Iceland in the last 16 of the Euros or the queue you join at the M6 Toll moving the slowest\u2026 tools will go missing. Where they go is unknown. Perhaps to a parallel tool universe where I\u2019m sure I\u2019d find 7 of my Stanley knives that I\u2019ve lost over the years. Although, lets face it, they\u2019re most likely to be\u00a0stolen by our colleagues.<\/p>\n

Either way, sometimes if you put your name on your tools, they don\u2019t seem to stray\u00a0as much…funny that!<\/p>\n

\"CustomisedOn our website we have a customisation tool<\/a> where you can pick a tool bag you like the look of, then you have the option to select which tools go in there. Last, but not least, you then have the option to have your name laser-etched onto some of the tools and your name put into the side of the tool bag. This personalisation can add a touch of ownership your\u00a0tools and they are less likely to go wandering into one of your colleagues’ toolboxes.<\/p>\n

After you have configured your ideal tool set,\u00a0you can enquire about price and it’s as simple as that. If you like, you can also have a part number created for your tool set so that\u00a0you can order for your engineers as and when you recruit or need to replace toolkits.<\/p>\n
