I have been with Phoenix Contact for just under 8 years now and have seen many new products launched every year.\u00a0 Quite often it is said that the amount of products Phoenix Contact launches every year at the Hanover Messe is both a blessing and a curse \u2013 a blessing because there is always something new to help our customers and a curse because keeping track of thousands of new products can be tricky.<\/p>\n

So, with that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to list my personal favourite products\/solutions we have launched in the 8 years I have been here.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Varioface

Varioface Cabling<\/p><\/div>\n

Varioface Cabling<\/strong><\/p>\n

Varioface system cabling<\/a> is our plug & play PLC cable interface.\u00a0 This enables the user to wire from most PLCs to a choice of active\/passive terminations.\u00a0 I personally love this product range as it more often than not helps our customers achieve a tidier looking end product in a much quicker\u00a0time-frame.<\/p>\n

\"Wireless

Wireless Mux<\/p><\/div>\n

Bluetooth Mux<\/strong><\/p>\n

Effectively, this product is a cable replacement \u2013 really useful for awkward cable installations or where there is cable deterioration.\u00a0 The Wireless MUX <\/a>can be used to wirelessly transmit 16 digital and two analog signals bidirectionally over a distance of up to 400 m.\u00a0 I have seen this product working brilliantly in some of the most harsh factory environments \u2013 a definite favourite over the years.<\/p>\n

PT terminals<\/strong><\/p>\n

PT Terminals<\/p><\/div>\n

While maybe not the most \u201chi-tech\u201d solution, the PT terminal<\/a> has definitely been a brilliant innovation.\u00a0 Our PT (push-in connection) terminal blocks have been developed for direct conductor connection. This means that solid conductors or conductors with ferrules can be directly plugged into the terminal block without the need for tools. Many customers, who have been sceptical of standard spring cage terminals in the past, have changed their mind due to the excellent PT terminal.<\/p>\n

IPC Mini<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our Industrial PCs, in particular our IPC Mini<\/a>, is a great little product.\u00a0 With a wide temperature range, IP20-rated fanless industrial box PC (BPC), energy-efficient Intel\u00ae Atom\u2122 CPU. 1 GB RAM with choice of operating systems. All the capability of a large industrial PC, the IPC mini is only the size of a small Power<\/p>\n

Supply \u2013 and it also fits neatly on a din-rail.<\/p>\n

Heavycon Evo<\/strong><\/p>\n

My final choice is slightly more theoretical as it was only launched last month.\u00a0 My early impressions (and feedback from some customers) are that the Heavycon Evo<\/a> range could really revolutionise the heavy duty connector market.\u00a0 A bold claim yes, but with the unique HEAVYCON EVO bayonet locking, the<\/p>\n

M20, M25, M32, and M40 clamping areas with straight and lateral outlet are covered with just four swivel cable glands, \u00a0meaning the customer can reduce their inventory drastically.<\/p>\n
