\"Gary<\/a>So I\u2019ve been asked to write a few words about myself and my role within Phoenix Contact to help shed some light on the person behind the name. I must admit staring at a blank piece of paper, ok word document; about to scribble, ok type, some words all about me is quite daunting!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I started working for Phoenix Contact at the outset of 2012 and have spent the last 16 years of my life in this industry working for both manufacturers and distributors and can proudly say I have worked with, in one way shape or form; most of the major interconnect manufacturers in my time.<\/p>\n

I originally starting working with Phoenix Contact approx. 7 years ago whilst in my last role as a connector specialist for a niche passive components distributor, I won\u2019t mention any names as this isn\u2019t an advertisement for them! I was both impressed and overwhelmed by the sheer size of the company and product portfolio and when the opportunity arose to join as a product manager I jumped straight in and haven\u2019t looked back since.<\/p>\n

So what do I do? Well as a product manager I assist both our internal and external teams, as well as our key distribution partners, with technical support, customer design-in projects, joint visits, special price requests, stock package recommendations for distribution partners, marketing activities, exhibition duties and too many other things to list. I also have direct responsibility for Premier Farnell and everything that entails. On Tuesday I \u2026.. Only kidding!<\/p>\n
